During his visit to Australia, Bill was spotted standing next to the woman, promoting the news that the American business magnate was dating someone after his failed attempt to rescue his 27-year marriage. Bill hasn't released an official comment addressing the news or the pictures, thus, it hasn't been confirmed yet.
In terms of his personal life, Bill Gates was married to Melinda French (@melindagates) for over 27 years. The pair met after Melinda started working as a product manager at the company. They met up during a sales meeting in New York City when the then-CEO approached Melinda in a parking lot and asked her on a date, which she declined due to his lack of spontaneity.
Melinda was finally ready to go on a date after a lot of effort, and they started dating. After more than six years, Melinda engaged Bill in 1993, and the pair enjoyed their engagement in Africa and described the experience as their first-ever direct contact with extreme poverty.
After being engaged for a year, the pair immediately took off for their ultra-private destination wedding on New Year's Day 1994 on the Hawaiian island of Lanai. The couple reportedly purchased all 250 of the hotel's rooms as well as every helicopter on Maui in order to guarantee the privacy and prevent media interference in their secret wedding ceremony.
After more than 27 years of marriage, the couple divorced. During their 27-year marriage, Bill and Melinda French Gates had three children: Jennifer, 26, Rory, 22, and Phoebe, 19.
