No-Maj Jacob Kowalski is set to be half the person in the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts 3 (2021). While the movie already had a lot on its plate to explain from the past installments, actor Dan Fogler’s weight loss comes as another challenge to fit into the story.
The actor, however, thought of a natural way to fit his weight change into the plot. Whether or not it makes sense, the fans be the judge.
Dan Fogler speaks about his weight loss
Dan Fogler underwent a dramatic weight loss.
Dan Fogler talked about his weight loss where he shed some light on the way his weight reduction may assist the story in Fantastic Beasts 3. Here’s what Fogler had to say:
I hope that he gets Queenie back. … I haven’t seen a script yet, and I’ve lost a significant amount of weight, and I think it will be funny if — you know how she put a spell on me to follow her around like a puppy? What if she also put a spell on me to get fit? So there’s that. But also, on a philosophical level, it’ll be interesting… We’re in the middle of the Depression, he’s just on a bender of loss. He lost her … I’m just saying this is the thing that I have in my head, that he’s lost his appetite.
The power of cinematic magic is they could cover the entire thing in several numbers of ways. However, the big question is whether J.K. Rowling is aware of this explanation. It remains unlikely she was clued about the fact that Dan lost so much weight and that she’d have to find a way to explain it in the story.
For Dan’s Luke character in The Walking Dead, weight loss definitely makes sense in the world of a zombie apocalypse. Even then, to what extent is certainly subjective. The same can’t the said for the Harry Potter prequel. Fans might need to carry a suspension of disbelief to make sense of it. On the other hand, one could argue it sort of makes sense that depression can lead to a loss of appetite.

The second installment in the Harry Potter spin-off series, Crimes of Grindelwald, ended with a shock when it was revealed Credence, played by Ezra Miller, was a part of the Dumbledore family. Fans now eagerly await the next movie, some of the details of which are revealed by Jacob Kowalski actor Dan Fogler.
We haven’t started filming yet. We start in February. Last we heard, J.K. has been writing furiously, everyone was really happy with what she submitted, and we’re all just waiting for the new script. And that’s where we’re at.
The third movie that remains unnamed as of yet was initially subject to a release in November 2020. However, the release date was later pushed back to November 2021. The reason is believed to be the previous film Crimes of Grindelwald that failed to live up to the expectations.

Fogler revealed extra efforts are in place to ensure the next movie is a huge success. Talking about the production delay, the actor claimed the upcoming movie is bigger than the other two combined. They wanted to ensure everything was perfect, which required more preparation time. This pushed the date back even further.
Apparently, they are shooting the film in Brazil, the actor revealed. He then concluded by saying he’ll know more when he gets the script, closer to filming.

Hello, this is a wake up call for all my concerned fans who have oh so subtly voiced their concerns about my health & weight loss recently. When I turned 40, this formally fat guy’s metabolism slowed the fuck down so I couldn’t digest all the greezy fried cheesy sugary deliciousness as quickly as I could in my youth. Hence I had to make some life changes or I would have started getting certain diseases associated with obesity like diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. And I have two little girls that I want to see grow into strong women and I wanted to be there for them and set a good example. So what did I do? I stopped eating PROCESSED foods that I couldn’t digest quickly. Anything with a wrapper with more than 3 ingredients that you can’t spell is probably bad for you. Also intermittent FASTING. We eat too much in this country on average, more than we can digest in one sitting . Our bodies are machines that need breaks & maintenance to process food correctly or they will start to break down like any vehicles. & I found martial arts, an activity that I love that keeps me fit and is far from boring. I’m thinking about writing a book about my 2 year journey of losing 100 lbs. (really a life long journey) since so many of you are so curious. AND to reiterate I am NOT sick. Far from it. Probably added 20 yrs to my life actually. And my soul is exactly the same, probably even shinier, so please don’t worry about your favorite chubby characters that I’ve played and their future appearances, all will be revealed to be even more energetic, vibrant & aerodynamic in the near future. And please check yourselves, I’m a human being with feelings, I appreciate your concern but perhaps you all could be a little more SENSITIVE when asking if someone is dying, hmmmm? I know it’s hard to believe that the fat guy got his act together in a healthy way, but come on people show a little respect huh? What if I WAS dying? You think I’d tell you about it in the fucking comments section on Instagram? WAKE up. Peace, love, and METAMORPHOSES for all. Be the change.
The before and after pics of this impressive actor is absolutely astounding and the diet he’s followed to achieve this remarkable change is truly admirable.
