With 182 credits to his name, Hiro Kanagawa is no ordinary personality. The Japanese-Canadian actor/writer began his career in 1979 with a voice role in a Japanese anime Mobile Suit Gundam. Moreover, he served as a writer and editor in several TV series.

Born in Sapporo, Japan, Hiro grew up in Guelph, Ontario and Sterling Heights, Michigan. He attended International Christian University High School in Tokyo before enrolling in Middlebury College, VT, and the Tyler School of Art at Temple University.

The Vancouver-based actor is best-known for his role as Captain Tanaka in Altered Carbon (2018), Taishi Okamura/Taishi Okanura in The Man in the High Castle (2015-16), and Hachiro Otomo in Heroes Reborn (2015-16). Moreover, he’s written plays like Tiger of Malaya and The Patron Saint of Stanley Park.

Hiro Kanagawa celebrated the 15th wedding anniversary with his wife Tasha Faye Evans on 22nd June 2019 at the Tigh-Na-Mera Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre in Parksville. For the first time, the couple was away from their kids for more than a day to celebrate their special day.

The pair lives in their Port Moody home and supports each other in every endeavor. During Tasha’s campaign for the Port Moody City Council, Hiro was by her side for the promotion bandwagon. Moreover, Tasha is an artist and Hiro tends to attend every event she organizes.

Although it’s anybody’s guess how the couple met, we can imagine it must have been beautiful. Meanwhile, Tasha paid respect to the Japanese tradition as she accepted Hiro’s proposal to hold the wedding in a Shinto ceremony in Japan on 22nd June 2004.

Hiro and Tasha are proud parents of two children. The eldest kid is a son named Niko Kanagawa who was born on 1st March 2006. Likewise, the lovebirds welcomed their daughter Maia Kanagawa on 22nd September 2009.

The caring parents never let the children out of their sight as they strive to be a part of every step their kids make in their lives. Talking of their interests, Maia is a really good soccer player while Niko excels on his surfboard as well as the football field. To top it off, both kids are extremely good swimmers.

Hiro Kanagawa is starring in 'See'

The actor is relentless when it comes to acting. He never seems to stop giving maximum effort in over a hundred credits to his name so far. Most recently, meanwhile, Kanagawa is featuring in the much-anticipated TV drama series See produced for Apple TV+. Hiro is playing the role of Lord Unoa for four episodes.

See tells the story of the distant future where humanity can no longer see. The society is forced to adapt to the changes and they successfully do so, until one day the wife of Baba Voss (Jason Momoa) gives birth to a set of twins. This disrupts the dynamic of the entire society bringing in a whole host of chaos.
