Jodi Balfour was born on 29th October 1987 in Cape Town, South Africa. She is best known for her portrayal of Gladys Witham in the Canadian TV drama Bomb Girls (2012-2013). The follow-up TV movie, Bomb Girls: Facing the Enemy helped her land Canadian Screen Awards in 2015.
Back in the early 2000s, Balfour worked as the co-host of the youth TV series in South Africa called Bling. Later, she went to the University of Cape Town, where she studied drama.

During her academic years, she competed in the Miss South Africa beauty pageant in 2008. Following her graduation in 2009, Balfour’s acting career took off mainly in British and Canadian movies and series.
