They hide in the shadows, never connecting with people because they are unable to die as well as to protect their secret from the world. But when a new immortal is awakened, they race to find the person while also fighting for their freedom from an enemy who seeks to harness their power and use it for themselves.

Kiki Layne started her career in Hollywood with an appearance in the medical drama series Chicago Med. But the show was just a stepping stone for the actress who was cast in the role of Tish Rivers in the Barry Jenkins movie If Beale Street Could Talk. The film from Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Annapurna Pictures was based on the book by James Baldwin, and after the release of the movie, everyone involved with the project was lauded for their work.
Kiki played Tish Rivers in the movie, where she sets out on a path to prove her childhood friend, lover, and father of her child, innocent of a crime he did not commit. Kiki Layne was born in 1992 to her parents in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Nile Freeman actress said acting was something she was born to do, and her parents sent her to performance school from the age of 7. Her career really started from the age of seven, and seeing black actresses on TV and movie gave her hope of finding something meaningful as a black actress working in Hollywood.
To pursue her career in acting, The Old Guard actress moved to Chicago, where she attended DePaul University. She was a member of the graduating class of 2014, and after finishing her education, Kiki decided to move to LA to see what Hollywood has to offer. It was a small weight, but meaningful roles found its way to her, resulting in her starring in If Beale Streets Could Talk.
Since her appearance in the movie, Kiki has been adamant about finding roles that she feels good about, something she can enjoy being part of. Soon the Nile Freeman actress will be seen flexing her comedic muscle in the movie Coming 2 America, starring Eddie Murphy, the sequel to his 1988 classic film Coming to America.
