Chris aka Christopher Eubanks grew up in Atlas, Georgia, the son of a Baptist minister, Chris Eubanks. His maternal grandfather was the founder of the prominent Baptist in Memphis. According to The Sun, he studied industrial engineering while playing college tennis. Christopher was coached daily on how to play tennis with his father at 13.
Between 2012 and 2017, Eubanks traveled with the young during his school and college breaks, attending tournaments in Rome, Madrid, Casablanca, Pris, and San Jose. He joined Young at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2013 at 17. Occasionally Eubanks fell asleep in his Paris hotel room and was unable to be awakened. Young and the rest of his team had to enlist the help of hotel staff to break down the door, relieved that he was still alive.
The 6’7″ tall sportsman was coached by American tennis player Donald Young and a former Top 200 player, Keving King who was a volunteer assistant coach at Georgia Tech, where Eubanks played for 3 years. The young tennis player defeated Thiago Monteiro in his first Wimbledon Championships match at the 2023 tournament. In the second round, he defeated the 12th seed, Cameron Norrie, to advance to the third round of a Major for the first time. Moreover, Eubanks then defeated Christopher O’Connell to advance to the second week of a Major for the first time. In the fourth round, he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in five sets, his first top ten and top five win, and advanced to his first Major quarterfinal. However, he was defeated in five sets by Daniil Medvedev.
