Chukwudi Iwuji is rumored to be transgender, but he is not. His sexuality was questioned due to homophobic remarks and online trolls after he was cast in The Guardians of the Galaxy. However, he has been a boy since childhood and is also married to his wife, Angela Travino, indicating that he is heterosexual.
The Guardians of the Galaxy were introduced to fans nine years ago in their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. With the release of Vol. 3, their tale has now come to a close. Although being a part of a long-running franchise like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) means that nothing ever truly ends, the marketing for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 made a big deal out of the idea that this would be the heroes’ last outing.
The tendency of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to look ahead at the expense of the story it is now portraying is one of the major recurring flaws of the genre, which proved to be all but disastrous for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The conclusion Vol. 3 is sufficiently open-ended to suggest that Kevin Feige is at least thinking about making another intergalactic adventure starring the cosmic misfits, even though everyone knew going into the film that it would be the last for James Gunn, Dave Bautista, and Zoe Saldana.
The High Evolutionary, the major antagonist of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, is played by Chukwudi Iwuji. When Peacemaker’s iconic title sequence dance was being filmed, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn infamously pulled the classically trained Nigerian-British actor aside and offered him the evil part in what might very well be Gunn’s final Marvel Studios project ever. He had to pass the same tests as the other members of Marvel’s leadership, but he quickly won Kevin Feige and his lieutenants over as well.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 by Marvel Studios has brought in a new fan base of admirers who are drawn to Chukwudi Iwuji’s portrayal of The High Evolutionary. The actor has done a great job as a villain, and without a doubt, while there are some positive aspects, there are also some negative ones, and fans have wondered if he is transgender. So is he? Let us find out.
