Corey Phelps Underwent a Weight Loss Journey After Appearing on TLC’s Too Large!
TLC‘s Titled Too Large‘s cast Corey Phelps (@qweenphelps) was one of the participants on the show and caught fans attention after his weight loss. TLC’s My 600-Lb Life, 1000-Lb Sisters, and Discovery Plus’s recent foray into the extreme weight loss subgenre of reality television, Too Large, all have an exploitative premise. We witness morbidly obese people make last-ditch efforts to change their lives from the comfort of our sunken-in living room couches, all for the sake of their health, mobility, and independence.
Not only was Corey’s narrative intriguing, but so was his demeanor. When viewers first met him, he weighed 664 pounds. Although he was still ambulatory and had no serious health issues, he was aware that his weight would eventually catch up with him. As a result, he joined TLC’s Too Large to reduce weight and begin his weight loss journey.

He decided it was time to get weight-loss surgery. After meeting with Atlanta-based bariatric surgeon Dr. Charles Procter, Corey recognized that he would need to reduce some weight before undergoing surgery. He acted quickly to make the necessary lifestyle changes, and it was evident that he was serious about making improvements.
He began eating healthier and engaging in tough fitness routines under the supervision of his brother and aunt. To be eligible for bariatric surgery, Corey needed to lose 50 pounds, according to the doctor. He on the other hand, shed 82 pounds! He was determined to stick to his diet.
He underwent successful surgery and shed weight. Despite this, he never stopped working on his physique. While the concert ended halfway through, spectators were left on edge. He never fails to keep us up-to-date on his changes. He does appear thinner, and his new hair color complements his demeanor. He is still on a healthy diet and walks a mile every day to lose weight.
Corey Phelps’ Before and After Weight-Loss Surgery Pictures!
Corey revealed that after originally appearing on Too Large, he shed almost 300 pounds. Since then, the TLC star has posted a YouTube video in which he shares his top ideas for losing weight. His before and after weight loss pictures are very surprising after his transformation.
Before his weight-loss journey, he was really too huge. Being that big, he remarked, was quite difficult. His weight rose in high school after he came out as gay, and he was living in a one-bedroom apartment in Cartersville, Georgia, with his buddy Renee at the time of the show. It was excruciating. Physically, psychologically, and emotionally. As per Dr. Procter, he has definitely been subjected to a lot of fat-shaming. The reality TV celebrity was bullied as a child because of his stature.

However, he went on a weight loss journey, and he then lost enough weight—107 pounds to be exact—to be considered for weight reduction surgery, which was aided by the TLC star’s emphasis on eating healthy foods rather than exercising. He shed 264 pounds after the procedure and has now lost more than 300 pounds.
Following a successful weight loss surgery, Corey left the show due to dissatisfaction between him and the producers. He explained that they wanted him to eat his cereal in a large mixing bowl to make his eating habits appear worse on video. Furthermore, they shot from unattractive camera angles on purpose.
He even mentioned how they modified his comments against his stepmother. He then apologized to her for this. As a result, he chose to leave the show halfway through. Along with spending time with his siblings and continuing his weight loss effort (sometimes going for five-mile morning walks in Kennesaw, Ga.), Corey began strenuous training regimens and began eating healthier under the supervision of his brother and aunt. He is now committed to a healthy lifestyle, regularly taking five-mile morning walks in Kennesaw and focusing on more nutritional foods.
