The actress who was out of the spotlight for 2 years landed the role of Lyra Belacqua in the British fantasy adventure series, His Dark Materials. Dafne plays the lead in the show, and after her stunning performance in Logan – this looks certain to be a great casting choice.

Lyra sports dirty blonde hair and blue eyes which may not fit Keen in like a glove, but the trailer does her justice and displays why she might just be perfect for the role. In the story, Belacqua finds herself accidentally stuck in the cosmic war between Lord Asriel and The Authority.

Starring alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Dafne made her mark with a quite stunning performance in the film for then 12-year-old. The signs were there from the first audition tape itself where she portrays Laura Kinney and quite frankly nails it.

The movie begins with a battered Wolverine surprisingly getting caught up with age while his healing ability has gradually begun to fade and his adamantium now poisoning him. We then witness the nurse from Mexico who asks for Logan’s help, but he does not appear interested, having already got too much on his plate.

This is when we meet Laura for the very first time. The shy and unsocial little girl is unaware of the happenings in the world. When the bad guys make their entry to take Laura away, the nurse gets killed and she ends up displaying her power. Charles then tells Logan, Laura is his biological daughter which is proven to be the case after a series of video clips show the staff in the Mexico hospital using Logan’s DNA to create the girl.

Throughout the movie, Laura barely speaks a single word and yet, her performance is mind-blowing. Without uttering anything, she still manages to steal the show. Her chemistry with Wolverine is fascinating, to say the least, and when Charles bites the dust, she is the only thing that keeps Logan going. One could argue, one of the biggest reasons the film Logan became so popular can be credited to Dafne Keen’s stunning performance.
