Danny Miller’s Weight Gain Is the Result of His Illness, Depression, and Anxiety!

Danny Miller has opened up to his social media followers about his terrible illness experience. On the set of Emmerdale, Miller battled depression and anxiety. The ITV soap star, who departed last year has admitted that there were times when he thought it would be easier if he wasn’t there since he struggled with anxiety and melancholy.
In an interview, the actor discussed his depression and revealed that he suffered from anxiety on the set of Emmerdale. He told the Mancs on the Mic podcast, which he co-hosted with fellow Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas and brothers Ryan and Scott. The actor said’
I’m not going to sit here and lie and say, ‘I wanted to kill myself,’ but I did think it would be simpler if I wasn’t here.
Danny mentioned an especially dark era. The actor further added;
I didn’t have any dependents at the time; I didn’t have a girlfriend, a fiancee, or a wife-to-be. But I didn’t have anything to lose, and I figured it’d be easier if I weren’t here, because it’s just me dealing with the thought. Nobody else has to deal with my thoughts; only I do. That was the darkest and lowest point. I never considered it. I couldn’t do it.
He also mentioned how he didn’t recognize he was suffering from anxiety at first, believing that something else was causing his thoughts of wanting to pass out while filming scenes for the show. He told the Thomas brothers on the Mancs On The Mic podcast:
I used to believe it was due to an overworked thyroid. That’s what I was tested for. but it was fear. I didn’t know what to do about it.
As a result of all of the stress and anxiety, Danny Miller appears to have adapted to binge eating and, as a result, has a dramatic weight gain. Anxiety and depression are two of the most frequent mental health issues people face. The Anxiety and Depression Association of America estimates that around 264 million individuals worldwide suffer from depression. According to the National Association on Mental Illness (NAMI), 60 percent of people with anxiety also show symptoms of depression. He closed with a heartfelt message to his fans:
I hope you find that buddy and companion. just like me. And if you’re still reading… You’re doing fantastic work, and I’m delighted you’re here.
This is not the first time the actor has stepped forward to help those suffering from mental illness. The Metro claimed in June of this year that the star had helped save the life of a man suffering from PTSD who was about to jump off a bridge. The actor has, however, been able to shed some weight in 2023.
