Matthew Perry says Friends Reunion Special will start filming in March.
Fans will be waiting a bit longer for the much-anticipated Friends Reunion Special. Matthew Perry, who featured in the hit show as Chandler Bing, revealed on Twitter the much-awaited reunion will be taking place in 2021.
Perry tweeted,

His co-star, David Schwimmer, previously said in July they were planning to start shooting, but things had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Schwimmer, who portrayed Ross Geller on the famous sitcom, told Jimmy Fallon they had to “wait until it’s safe.” Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman said they were seeking a live audience for the special episode.
Friends Reunion Special will start filming in March 2021.

When the reunion was delayed last spring, Kaufman told Entertainment Tonight:
This is a show that is not scripted, but this is the way the show works.
We are going to need a live audience. Even if we socially distance that live audience, it really is a huge part of what ‘Friends’ is. We cannot do it without them.
The shooting will be held at the original sound stage of the series, Stage 24, at Warner Bros in Burbank, California. It airs on HBO Max on a date that is yet to be confirmed.
