Danica Patrick’s Apparent Sexual Innuendo & Embarrassing Lewis Hamilton Question Makes Fans Cringe!
Danica Patrick isn’t winning many fans in Formula 1. Following a very successful racing career, the 41-year-old Wisconsin native has transitioned to television punditry. She is now working for the prestigious Sky network, where she covers the sport for Sky Sports F1. She was right there with Nico Rosberg (@nicorosberg) during today’s Hungarian GP Qualifying and even got an opportunity to interview the top three after the session, including an unpleasant encounter with pole-sitter, Lewis Hamilton.

Patrick’s chat with Hamilton after he seized pole position from the clutches of Max Verstappen did not go over well with the fans. While it’s no secret that the American isn’t a fan favorite among F1 fans, her sneaky sexual insinuation combined with an uncomfortable line of questions had viewers seething and unsatisfied with the broadcast.
This was not the only aspect of the interview that irritated fans. Patrick exudes little significance to the sport in their eyes, and her knowledge quota falls short as well. And the strange line of questioning she directed at Lewis Hamilton may not have helped her case.
The question that really surprised F1 fans was about the new Qualifying structure that the sport presented and tested over the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. During Q1, the drivers all used the Hard compound, Mediums during Q2, and Softs during Q3. And Patrick most likely missed the memo on how Pirelli has historically behaved within the sport.
Patrick asked of Hamilton, “Was there a difference between the soft, medium, and hard tire?” An obvious query that resulted in a slew of people criticizing her on social media. F1 fans were furious at the Americans. She received a lot of heat from the Hungaroring audience, in between her outrageously sexual statements about the 38-year-old pole-sitter and her own Will Buxton moment.
