In Netflix's The Watcher, a couple's dream home turns into a horrible nightmare. Ryan Murphy's limited series which premiered on Oct 13, is based on the true story of an innocent family who checks their... mailbox. They relocate and begin to get messages revealing that they are being spied on in a manner very similar to Stephen King's novels.
In the series, Dean and Nora Brannock played by Bobby Cannavale and Naomi Watts migrate to an idyllic New Jersey neighborhood where they believe their children will be safe from the ills of the world. But something dark hides in these prosperous communities. Shortly after moving in, the couple begins getting threatening letters from someone claiming to be The Watcher. This unwanted requires development proceeds to harass the family in ways that any American Horror Story viewer would recognize.
Similarly, along with Naomi and Cannavale, the series also cast Jennifer Coolidge, who plays the character of Karen Calhoun, the realtor in charge of the Brannocks' dream home and Nora's longtime friend. Meanwhile, many viewers were shocked by her appearance, as she appeared to be overweight in her tummy. In the movie American Pie, Coolidge's character had sexual relations with her son, Stifler's, classmate. In addition to the comedic series, she has appeared in serious roles in other productions.

According to a report, this twisted drama is based on the disturbing genuine experiences of the Broaddus family, who got identical letters from someone called The Watcher after purchasing a house in Westfield, New Jersey.
