The 6 feet tall player, when he was a student at East Mississippi, Wright was among the best offensive players. He was a dynamic rushing back with playmaking ability in the backfield. The defenders found it tough to try and stop him because of his quickness. He not only played running back but also wide receiver, return man, and other positions. Wright, a Tennessean by birth, desired to play college football at the highest level. He was aware that a top school was an option for him if he had a successful career at East Mississippi.

Early August of 2018 saw Wright's release, and he was given a term of six years of closely monitored probation. The former East Mississippi running back experienced a lot in a short period, but he is now working to avoid getting into trouble. He made his first appearance on a football field in two years.
