Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle starred together in the iconic legal drama Suits. Now, the actor admits he’s too intimidated to call her following her marriage to Prince Harry.
Suits stars Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) and Meghan Markle (Rachel Zane) played each other’s romantic interest in the popular USA Network show.
Recently, speaking with Radio Times, Patrick admitted he’s reluctant to be in touch with Meghan after attending her wedding with Prince Harry in 2018. Since then, the on-screen couple has only kept in touch through texts and never actually called each other.

Meghan Markle played the role of Rachel Zane on Suits, the romantic interest of Patrick J. Adams‘ character, Mike Ross. The two off-screen friends worked together for seven seasons until Meghan Markle exchanged vows with Prince Harry in May 2018.
As per Daily Mail, the 39-year-old Canadian actor admitted he’s not comfortable with calling Meghan:
Quite frankly, I think I’m intimidated. I have no doubt I could pick up the phone and call her at any moment, but I don’t know what I would say.
He noted the pair had shared some text messages after welcoming their respective kids, but that’s about it.
After our children were born, there were some texts sent and gifts sent, but I guess I’m a little scared. I think it’s pure fear. I guess I’m scared about the idea of breaking through whatever walls exist to have that conversation.
Patrick added he is pretty aware Meghan’s got quite a lot on her plate lately, saying:
We’ve spoken and texted a couple of times, but Meghan’s life is incredibly full and she’s been navigating a lot. We don’t spend any time together, but that’s not because of anything other than how completely enormous her life has become in so many ways.
It goes without saying, the Royal Family is certainly a bit daunting, but Meghan appears to be reasonably humble and friendly, so we hope Patrick gets over it fairly soon.
