Halloween is just around the corner, and that means we are getting numerous Holloween themed movies and TV shows. Netflix does not let a good opportunity pass them by. They are holding on to what could be a massive hit and a franchise starter with A Babysitter's Guide to Moster Hunting, featuring an amazing cast.
The new movie from Netflix was in post-production for a while as COVID threw a wrench in everyone's plans. But no matter, the horror/comedy/action theme going on in the movie is intended for the Halloween period. So, let's see who is in the movie's cast and other details you need to know.
A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting Plot - What is the Movie About?
A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting plot is adapted from the book of the same name.
The movie's plot is probably self-explanatory from the title A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting. In layman's term, there are Babysitters, there are monsters, and children; the Babysitters are tasked to protect, are threatened by the monsters, resulting in Babysitters going monster hunting.
A detailed plot was provided by Netflix, "When high school freshman Kelly Ferguson reluctantly agrees to babysit on Halloween, she is recruited into a secret society of babysitters who protect kids with special powers from monsters."
The trailer for the movie also revealed some of the plots for the movie. We see Kelly Ferguson reluctantly filling in a babysitting spot during the Halloween night. She convinces her ward that monsters are not real, but then Boogeyman's monsters kidnap the boy as night sets in.
Kelly goes after them, but then she meets Liz Lerue, who brings her into a secret society of monster-hunting Babysitters. The kids are in danger of being exploited by the Boogeyman, which is why the secret order of Babysitters has been working for ages to stop him.
The movie's plot is pretty awesome, and considering it is adapted from the well-reviewed source material, we are expecting great things. Joe Ballarini is writing the script for the movie based on his own novel series, which is another great news for the film and the fans of the book series.
