Annalise Nicole Basso was born on 2nd December 1998, to parents Louis Joseph Basso (father) and Marcia Basso (mother). She has two older siblings, Alexandria Basso (sister) and Gabriel Basso (brother), who are both actors.

The actress went to Campbell High School in Studio City, Los Angeles. Some of her most prominent roles include Bedtime Stories (2008), Love Takes Wing (2009), and Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016). In the small screens, she is best known for the portrayal of Kate Jensen in The Red Road (2014-15).

Snowpiercer tells the story of a post-apocalyptic world seven years into the future where the earth has turned into a frozen wasteland. The remaining humanity is settled in a perpetually moving train that circles the globe.

As per Deadline, Annalise Basso is playing the role of LJ Anderson.

Basso will play LJ Anderson, a quiet, diligent, Midwestern girl who lives with her parents in a fourth-class cabin and works in the greenhouse car. Poor but not as desperate as those that live in the tail of the train, LJ has made peace with her daily routine until a major event shakes up her world.

The other notable cast includes Daveed Diggs as Andre Layton, Jennifer Connelly as Melanie Cavill, Mickey Sumner as Bess Till, and Alison Wright as Lilah Anderson.

The series premieres on TNT in 2020.

Annalise initially starred in TV commercials and made minor guest appearances in television series. Her first prominent role came in the fantasy horror drama True Blood (2009), where she portrayed the character of Eden Hamby for a single episode titled Keep This Party Going.

The same year, Basso featured in a Christian drama TV movie Love Takes Wing (2009), playing the role of Lillian. When the actress was merely ten years old, she participated in the game show franchise Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (2009).

Annalise then featured in an episode each of a couple of popular shows. She appeared in an episode titled Kids in New Girl (2012), followed by an episode called Innocence in action thriller drama Nikita (2012).

Basso’s first role as a lead character came in the coming-of-age film Standing Up (2013), directed by D. J. Caruso. She featured as Shadow “Grace” Golden in the movie. A year later, the actress starred in the psychological horror film Oculus (2014), where she played the younger version of Karen Gillan‘s character Kaylie Russell.

In 2016, Annalise received further recognition for her critically acclaimed performance as Paulina “Lina” Zander in the supernatural horror film Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016).
