Carl Nassib was born on 12 April 1993, to his parents in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He was one of three sons of his father and mother and the three brothers were raised in the Steelers country. He attended Malvern Preparatory School and played basketball and football. After high school he attended Pennsylvania State University and made the football team as a walk on.
While Carl's career in college was a little hard as he did not see the field for the first two seasons. But later he showed some potential, enough for Cleveland Browns to part with a third round pick and get him at the 65th spot. He played for two years in Cleveland, then moved on to Tampa Bay for two years and finally ended up in Las Vegas where he signed a $25 million contract for three years. And before getting into his second year as a player for the Raiders, he came out as gay, that kicked boyfriend rumors off.

It was a pretty muted coming out for Carl Nassib, he did not sit down with a media outlet or let a magazine run his story to drum up publicity. Instead, the player just wanted to own his truth and live a whole life without hiding who he really was. The NFL defensive player only released a video on his Instagram page and then wrote a words that accompanied the video.
While the support were fast and plenty, we all can probably guess what happened next. Homophobes started appearing in the player's Instagram page as well as new reports of the player coming out, hate and slurs were all around after that. The numbers are still low but you cannot escape it. And the same people started linking Carl Nassib is with his made-up boyfriend Anthony Nelson.

Okay, let us make this clear, Anthony Nelson and Carl Nassib are friends. They posed for a picture together last season when Raiders met the Buccaneers and people are asking them to kiss. Also, Anthony Nelson is engaged to his girlfriend Jordyn Steinkritz. So, no Anthony Nelson is not Carl Nassib's boyfriend.

They’re an incredible organization, they’re the number one suicide-prevention service for LGBTQ youth in America," the Raiders player concluded the video.
After the announcement, Carl's jerseys and clothing with his name were the highest selling commodities in he league's official clothing selling partners. Carl also gained a whole lot of Instagram followers, and with all that attention came boyfriend rumors. After linking him with a friend, based on a picture on his social media, Corey O'Brien's name was tossed into the discussion out of nowhere.

Corey O'Brien is a professional dancer and he is dating a NFL player but it is not Carl. The dancer and former NFL player Ryan Russell were together for a few years. Ryan came out as bisexual and then proceeded to reveal his relationship with Corey. As for Carl Nassib's boyfriend in 2021, the player probably has a bf, but as the Raiders player mentioned, he is a private person.
So, even if he is in a relationship, it is unlikely we are going to see him share much about that. Maybe we will get to see Carl Nassib's boyfriend in the future, but for now, we have to go along with the idea that he is single and living his truest life in 2021.
