Eddie Liu is doing his best to knock down the stereotypes about Asian men in Hollywood. He is part of he majority Asian cast show Kung Fu where he plays Henry Yan and kicks serious butt. But acting was never a thing he wanted to do growing up, academics was more of his focus. Well, life had different ideas for the actor who is currently in a happy relationship with his girlfriend and starring in Netflix and The CW shows.
The Kung Fu actor was born on 29 June 1993 to his immigrant parents in Queens, New York. He has two siblings, a brother and a sister, and all three were raised in New York by their parents. Eddie watched martial arts movies growing up and practiced the art form with his brother, but becoming an actor never entered his mind. Understandably so because Asian representation on TV and movies have not been particularly stellar.
After finishing high school, the actor joined Hofstra University in New York where after a suggestion from a professor, Eddie joined a play. That was all he needed as the high of performing got a hold of young Eddie resulting in the actor moving to LA to further his career. Today everyone of his fan's know him for he talented hunk that he is and for those interested, the actor is dating a girlfriend in 2021.

When his professor suggested joining a theater play with for on-campus production, Eddie was not certain what he was going to get. But the bug of acting got him and being an academic, finishing school and getting stuck in a cubicle did not make sense to the actor. Despite Hollywood being slow to cast Asian actors in impactful characters, Eddie Liu took his chance.
He moved to Los Angeles with what little savings he had and threw himself in finding work as an actor. Eddie struggled a little at first like most actors do but his desire meant working as a waiter or caterer did not deter him. Work came soon after and while his career was taking off the actor also found love in fellow actor Lindsey Marie Wilson.

Eddie Liu is currently dating his girlfriend Lindsey Marie Wilson in 2021. They met for the first time in the Golden State in 2018 and started dating soon after. Lindsey is also an actress with her credits including Criminal Minds, UnReal and few commercials. Being struggling actors together in the city filled with actors was a quick way to bond but the bonding soon blossomed into a relationship.
According to Lindsey Marie Wilson's Instagram, the couple started dating on 9 November 2018. By that confirmation it is clear that the couple has been dating for over 2 years now, celebrating their second anniversary in 2020. "2 years ago I met this strange creature, and life will never be the same ?," she wrote on Instagram, commemorating the drive.

Eddie and his girlfriend share a happy life where she has promised to annoy him for the foreseeable future while he is trying to explain away kissing his co-star in Netflix's Never Have I Ever. She loves to dance while he is happy being her camera man, well, that is the type of relationship most girls are looking for anyway (kidding). And considering the shaky history of original Kung Fu, the show has been taken back from gentrification of the art form. The show is currently playing on The CW and recently the channel greelit a second season.

The story of Kung Fu follows Nicky Shen who ran away to an all women monastery in China. There she learns the way of the Shaolin and how to stop running away from problems. But when mysterious warriors come for her masters and temple, Nicky needs to find who they are and what they want with the secrets of her master. Returning home, Nicky juggles her master's teaching while trying to reconcile with her family.
Eddie Liu plays Henry Yan in Kung Fu. Henry is a martial arts practitioner and a consumer of ancient Chinese history. When Nicky comes back from China, Henry helps her out with her mission to find out what the sword of her master does. Together Henry and Nicky also practice martial arts while helping the people in the neighborhood.

Kung Fu is currently available on The CW with new episodes releasing every week on Wednesdays.
