New footage from The Witcher Season 2 displays Geralt and Yennefer traveling together on their horses, hinting at the potential reunion.
Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) were seen filming together at the set of The Witcher Season 2.
The popular Netflix show is based on the fantasy novels and short tales by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, who has created a very popular video game franchise of the same title.

The debut season of The Witcher premiered on the streaming platform in December 2019. The plot follows Geralt, the titular Witcher, as he journeys across the Continent battling monsters.
Witchers are genetically engineered beings, bred and conditioned to fight. Transition is complicated and sometimes dangerous because there are only a few witchers left across the globe.
Season 1 happens across three different timelines; in Geralt’s version, over the course of two decades, Geralt has a turbulent relationship with the sorceress Yennefer, encounters a bard called Jaskier (Joey Batey) who would not leave him alone despite Geralt’s annoyance towards him, and becomes the protector of Ciri (Freya Allan), the young princess of Cintra.

Despite any misunderstanding about the chronology of things in the series, The Witcher was generally positively received. Netflix obviously had faith in the program, too, as it got renewed for the second season before season 1 had even released.
Development in season 2 started in early 2020 but was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming recently relaunched, but earlier this week, shooting was halted once again following multiple COVID cases among the cast and crew.
In the latest clip uploaded by Sara Talib on Instagram — which appears to have been taken the day before The Witcher’s latest COVID hiatus — Geralt and Yennefer are spotted traveling together on their horses. Ciri is not in this specific video, but she was seen in a scene with Yennefer on a different day.

Since season 1 concluded, Geralt and Yennefer had split, but getting them back together during season 2 is a massive development. What we notice in the clip, though, could be a red herring.
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich has confirmed a more straightforward plot for season 2, but she has also indicated there will be flashbacks. So, while this clip could mean a reconciliation for Geralt and Yennefer, it may also be a flashback to a time when they split up.
The first season of The Witcher has adopted two sets of short stories, The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny, which takes place prior to the main Witcher drama.

The official season 2 description states Geralt will take Ciri to Kaer Morhen, the Witcher training fortress, which occurs in the first Witcher novel, Blood of Elves, so it seems possible season 2 will be the interpretation of this book.
The plot also reveals Geralt claims Yennefer perished during the final battle of the first season. Yennefer didn’t reunite with Geralt until late in Blood of Elves, and considering Cavill’s Geralt assumes Yennefer is dead, this moment is presumably either a memory or one that occurs closer to the end of the season.
The Witcher season 2 is scheduled to air in 2021, but it’ll be a while before we get any clear details on what’s happening with Geralt and Yennefer.
