Jonathan Majors’ Lawyer Says He Is “Completely Innocent” Following His Arrest!
Following the arrest, Priya Chaudhry, Jonathan Majors' attorney, says that he is "completely innocent" and is actually the victim. In a statement, she said,
We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently....This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.
After responding to a 911 call, cops arrested the 33-year-old Marvel actor at a Chelsea apartment near West 22nd Street and 8th Avenue at around 11:15 on Saturday. Officers found that Majors and a 30-year-old woman, who has not been identified but is rumored to be his girlfriend, were involved in a domestic argument. The girlfriend, who reported being attacked to the police, suffered just minor head and neck injuries. Police took Majors into custody without incident after taking her to the hospital.
Later on Saturday, Jonathan Majors was charged with six charges of third-degree assault, three counts of third-degree attempted assault, and two counts of harassment in Manhattan Criminal Court. Majors was given his release on his own recognizance and instructed to return to court on May 8.
According to TMZ, the Emmy-nominated actor and his girlfriend got into a fight in the taxi on the way home from a Brooklyn bar.
