Shantel VanSanten was born on 25th July 1985 in Luverne, Minnesota. Belonging to Norwegian and Dutch ancestry, she grew up in Spring, Texas. The actress studied at Incarnate World Academy and Texas Christian University.
VanSanten began her career as a model for Page Parkes Management when she was merely 15 years old. Santel's successful modeling career has seen her feature in Seventeen and Teen Vogue magazines.

VanSanten is well known as Quinn James in the drama series One Tree Hill. Moreover, she was a part of the Arrow-verse playing the guest role of Detective Patty Spivot in the CW superhero series The Flash. For All Mankind is the science fiction series depicting an alternate reality where the USSR manages to send the first man to the moon. The Space Race was no doubt successful in the real world, but this series aims to answer the scenario where the Space Race never ended.
The alternate timeline showcases the Russian cosmonaut named Alexei Leonov as the first person on the moon. The ‘Red Moon’ event leaves NASA devastated, but they use this failure to fuel themselves to get better than ever before. The staff at NASA subsequently take up the challenge and look to knock the Soviet Union off their perch in the second time of asking.

Shantel VanSanten is in a relationship with her boyfriend, Victor Webster. The couple who began dating in early 2018 starred together in the film Love Blossoms (2017) as Violet Chappel and Dec Granger.
The new lovebirds went on a romantic vacation to Mexico in June 2018. A month later, the couple made their relationship Instagram official on 7th July 2018 with an adorable picture of them kissing.
