While Katsuyuki Konishi voices Heracles in Record of Ragnarok (Japanese), George Newbern is the voice actor behind the dubbed (English) version. Both of the artists are very popular and have previously worked on multiple big projects.
Netflix‘s Record of Ragnarok is an action ONA (or original net animation) based on the manga series created by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Ajichika. It portrays Ragnarok as a massive competition in which 13 human fighters from across history square off against 13 gods from various pantheons in order to ensure the continuation of mankind for a further 1,000 years.
Brunhilde is the one who offers to the gods that rather than just eliminating humanity, they should hold the Ragnarok tournament to determine their destiny. The Valkyries forge a pact with their chosen warriors knowing that mankind is powerless against the gods and their supernatural weapons. The Valkyries are permitted to change into the preferred weapons of their humans according to a pact known as Völundr.

Record of Ragnarok Season 2: Post-credits Scene Explained!
Zeus approaches Buddha after Shiva wins the fifth match. Although he had intended to use him later in the competition, he informs the Eastern deity that he would be competing in the following match. When Buddha appears in the arena in the season 2 post-credits sequence, he swaps sides and declares that he would fight for humanity, daring any gods to face him. Buddha first appears to embrace Zeus’ advice.
One of the few gods who oppose the elimination of mankind is Buddha. Additionally, he openly criticizes the rule of other gods, even Zeus. This is most likely connected to Buddha’s true identity in the Dharmic pantheons, which is that he is the archetypal rebel who challenges long-standing social norms. Earlier in the season, Buddha is confronted by Loki, the Norse god of mischief, who appears to have realized that Buddha is the traitor.
The Völundr bond’s guiding principle, Samavadhna, or common destiny, is something that Buddha explained to Brunhilde before Ragnarok began. In the manga, Buddha finally encounters Bishamonten, the Shinto deity of conflict and combat, in the sixth round. Bishamonten will later combine with other figures from the Seven Lucky Gods to form Zerofuku, the god of bad luck. A new competitor for Buddha emerges and introduces himself as Hajun after two dragons eat Zerofuku.
