Dalen Cuff is a basketball commentator and frequent in-studio anchor for numerous ESPN channels, including ACCN's nightly news and information show All ACC and In Play. He was the men's basketball team captain during his senior year at Columbia. He is Columbia's all-time leader in games played, career three-point field goals made, three-point percentage for a single season, and three-point field goals made in a season.

Up until approximately 12–14 years old, he assumed that he would be in the NBA and eventually have a career in broadcasting, but he discovered that there are some better players out there. He eventually left his sports marketing position to pursue full-time broadcasting. He treated every game he called like it was the Final Four and maintains that approach today.

Dalen Cuff considered teaching but did not want to miss out on other broadcasting opportunities. During his senior year at Columbia University, Dalen served as the men's basketball team captain. He received positive feedback on the game he played during his undergraduate years.

His first engagement outside of basketball was as a color commentator for Columbia University. In 2012, Dalen Cuff began commentating on Ivy League games for the NBC Sports Network. He was a college basketball commentator for NBC Sports Network from 2012 until joining ESPN.

In addition to his role as a college basketball analyst, he was a host and reporter for NBCSN and Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE).
