Cursed is a re-imagination of the Arthurian legend where the main character is not Merlin or King Arthur; instead, the person tasked with protecting the common people, is Nimue. The Lady of the Lake, as she is fated to be when Arthur takes his thrown is coming to terms with her powers and her own legacy.
Katherine Langford is starring as Nimue; she is the powerful sorceress, someone who needs to find the extent of her power and also stand up to the purge of King Uther. As Uther starts killing people with magical powers and destroying nature, Nimue takes her destiny in her own hand and with young mercenary Arthur in tow becomes a symbol of rebellion, courage and a better future.

He is a mercenary who is looking of Merlin’s location so he can deliver a legendary sword to the sorcerer. During his journey, he comes across Nimue and the two, work together to end the tyranny of King Uther and the Red Paladins. While the show is about Nimue and Arthur, it is also a coming of age drama focused on two young people with the weight of the world on their shoulder.
Netflix is releasing the new show on 17 July 2020. Cursed cast members include Katherine Langford as Nimue, Devon Terrell as Arthur, Gustaf Skarsgard as Merlin, Peter Mullan as Father Carden, Lily Newmark as Pym, Shalom Brune-Franklin as Morgan le Fay, Daniel Sharman as The Weeping Monk, with Sebastian Armesto and Emily Coates also appearing.

Devon Terrell is of mixed race and from the time Barack Obama started his ascent into the top office in America, he was somewhat of an idol for Devon. When Devon was 19 years old, he was asked about his dream role, and he mentioned playing Barack Obama would be amazing. Well, he got his wish when Steve McQueen series Codes of Conduct was not picked up by HBO, and he went to audition for Barry.
He arrived for his audition of playing a young Barack Obama in the Netflix movie Barry, and he won the role after just a single audition. Devon was thrilled, and he started working with a dialect coach to get the speech pattern right. He went so far as to learn how to predominantly use his left hand while speaking, writing and playing basketball. To better get into his character Devon read Dreams from My Father multiple times, and after the movie was released on Netflix, his portrayal of the beloved President was lauded.

Devon Terrell was born on 23 October 1992 to his African-American father and Anglo-Indian mother in Long Beach, California. The family did not live in California for a long time though as they moved to Perth, Australia after Devon turned five. Devon Terrell is of mixed race, and he has dual nationality, Australian and American. His schooling was done in Australia, and he moved to Hollywood to start a career in show business after graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in 2013.
