Weeping Monk Actor Daniel Sharman from Cursed Netflix Series Started Acting at the Age of 9

Over the past decade, Daniel Sharman has been part of teen shows on MTV and The CW, which has allowed the actor to garner a large young fan following. Well, even after leaving his twenties, Daniel is a massive draw among younger fans, something his new show Medici: The Magnificent benefited massively, and something Netflix series Cursed will be hoping for.

Cursed is the modern retelling of the Arthurian legend. Instead of Arthur, the sword chooses a woman, and the task of fighting tyranny will be on her shoulder. Arthur is not related to the king; he is not a prince, only a mercenary who comes across a young woman with a strong present and tragic future. The show is based on the Arthurian legend characters, but it is based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler.

The new Netflix fantasy series follows Nimue, aka Lady of the Lake, who comes in contact with the sword after she is displaced from her home by the Paladin. She is running, but at one point, she needs to stop and fight, and to her aide comes young Arthur. Nimue becomes a beacon of strength and courage among the scared populace who stand with her in her rebellion against King Uther and the Red Paladins.

Daniel Sharman started his acting career in 2003, but the characters which made him a staple in pop culture were Isaac Lahey and Kaleb Westphall in Teen Wolf and The Originals, respectively. Those two teen-targeted shows made Daniel famous among younger audiences. Even though most of the time, his characters posed irredeemable qualities, fans still loved the passion he brought to each of his characters.

He was asked about his time on the two shows, and the actor said he collected friends after joining the cast of those two series. Daniel said he was still close with his co-stars from those MTV and The CW days, and when asked who would win out in a fight between Isaac and Kaleb, Daniel was diplomatic in saying they both had great qualities to win in their own terms.

But teen shows are not the only thing Daniel Sharman is known for. He joined the cast of Fear the Walking Dead in 2017 to play the sadistic Troy Otto. He also led the second and third season of the popular period drama series Medici. Gathering experiences and notches on his belt, Daniel Sharman has been one of the most interesting British imports of the past decade.
