Chun made history in 2015 by becoming the first player in history to win majors on three different tours in the same calendar year.

Moreover, In Gee Chun, 27, won two majors on the KLPGA Tour, the Hite Jinro Championship, and the KB Financial Star Championship; two majors on the JLPGA Tour, the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup, and the Japan Women's Open Golf Championship; and one major on the LPGA Tour, the U.S. Women's Open.

She joined compatriot Se Ri Pak as the only two players in LPGA Tour history to win majors as their first two LPGA Tour titles by winning the 2016 Evian Championship. Chun competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics for the Republic of Korea.

The athlete has a sizable Twitter following with whom she shares her life experiences. Chun's profession is becoming more popular on Twitter these days. Chun is a frequent social media user. She regularly uploads photos to her Instagram account.

In Gee Chun's Weight Loss & Health Issues

In Gee Chun, the 2022 Women's PGA Championship, recovered from a mysterious esophageal malady in 2017 that forced her to withdraw from the Meijer Classic and put her in the hospital for two days in Grand Rapids, Mich. Her coach was concerned because her windpipe was constricting and she couldn't swallow food. As a result, Chun's health issues caused her weight loss.

The 27-year-old athlete's esophagus needed to be stretched, which required an esophageal dilation. In Gee Chun went 10 days without eating anything but baby food, but she claims to be on the mend. She isn't feeling 100% yet, but she can eat anything again. Chun's weight loss caused her to lose muscle mass as a result of the ordeal and is still working to regain her previous strength.

The professional golfer is enormously popular in Korean sports, and she has a large following among American fans. Chun joined Se Ri Pak as the only player to win major championships as their first two LPGA titles when she won the Evian Championship.

With In Gee Chun's major championship success, there is increased pressure on her back in Korea to win more. Some claimed that it was causing stress, which may have contributed to Chun's illness and weight loss.

In Gee Chun Perseveres and Beats Lexi Thompson to Win the Women’s PGA 2022

In Gee Chun (@ingeechun_dumbo) maintained an upbeat, smiling demeanor throughout the Women's PGA Championship, which is easy to do when you shoot 64 in the first round and lead comfortably for the majority of the tournament. All of her positive thinking was put to the test in the final round. "Golf is never easy," the 27-year-old South Korean said.

The legendary athlete won her third major championship by performing admirably in the first round on a rainy day and persevering through a hot weekend at Congressional. On Sunday, she quickly squandered what remained of a sizable lead, then rallied to win by one when Lexi Thompson's putting faltered down the stretch.

The South Korean golfer shot a 3-over-par 75 on the final two days of the tournament. She finished at 5-under 283, just one stroke ahead of Thompson (73) and Minjee Lee (70). The 27-year-old Floridian missed a par putt from a few feet on No. 14, but a birdie on No. 15 extended her lead to two. Then she bogeyed the par-5 16th while Chun birdied it, tying the two players with two holes to play.

Thompson three-putted for bogey on 17 after declining a post-round news conference. Her birdie putt on 18 was not hit firmly enough after an impressive approach from the rough. Chun's approach shot on the par-4 18th bounced past the hole and just off the back of the green, but she put to within about 5 feet and sank her par putt for the victory.
