It’s incredibly simple to support Tyler because of how the writers have crafted him. As the story goes on, the significance of these tidbits increases. At first glance, Tyler seems like a nice young man. He and his father have some problems, but these were reportedly brought on by grief. Although Xavier frequently asserts that Tyler is a bad guy, this can be attributed to his resentment of Wednesday and Tyler’s developing romance. A year has passed since the incident involving the artwork, and Xavier needs to learn how to let go.

Tyler is being held by cops the final time we see him this season. The monster comes out of Tyler Galpin just as his van passes the Addam family car, but as revealed he is not dead.
