The Netflix series follows the character of Kat Baker, who intends to give up skating after a disastrous fall eliminates her off the competition. She then grabs the opportunity to continue her career as a pair skater with a talented bad-boy partner from a wealthy family named Justin Davis. However, she risks exposing her secret that could change her entire life.
The new partners face numerous physical, mental, and psychological obstacles on and off the ice to fulfill their Olympic dreams. Spinning Out premiered on Netflix on 1st January 2020.

Willow Shields’ first acting credit was the voice role of Girl Watching Gun Fight in a short film Las Vegas New Mexico (2008). A year later, she featured for a single episode as Lisa Rogan / Lisa Royal in a crime drama series In Plain Sight (2009).
In 2011, the actress starred as Grace in the TV film Beyond the Blackboard. This was followed by her breakthrough role of Primrose Everdeen in a dystopian science-fiction adventure film The Hunger Games (2012).
