Christopher Russell was born on 8 January 1983, to his British parents in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A first-generation Canadian, Christopher grew up in the country and where the love of acting took hold. After finishing his education the actor started appearing in Hollywood movies and TV shows that were filming in Vancouver.
The first acting role of Christopher's career as an adult was in the supernatural series Show Me Yours. In recent years he is appearing in Hallmark movies with the most recent one being Chasing Waterfalls. But the start of his career also coincided with Christopher meeting his girlfriend and now wife. While Christopher had appeared in a horror movie in the mid-90s. The Canadian actor's first full-fledged acting role only came in 2004, nine years later. In year was significant for Russell as he had three films and TV shows in the works, his career was taking off and also he found the love of his life.
In 2004 Christopher Russell met his girlfriend-turned-wife for the first time and as the actor tells it, it was love at first sight. He had mentioned multiple times that his wife had him at hello when they met for the first time. Fast forward 17 years and they have been married for a long while and currently raise their two beautiful kids together in Canada.
On 15 February 2018, Christopher confirmed that it was the first time they met 14 years ago. He explained on Instagram, "14 years later and my heart still skips a beat when you walk in the room. Happy anniversary to the #loveofmylife #loveatfirstsight #soulmate."
The couple probably got married in the last decade. Their first child was born on 28 April 2013. Their daughter Ella was born eight weeks premature which meant little Ella was kept in the NICU for more than 5 weeks. After getting the weight above her birth weight of 4 pounds the family was able to take back the newest member of the family home.
In an interview, Christopher said he was filming his first Hallmark movie when his daughter was born. "The day before I had to start shooting, my daughter was born seven weeks early unexpectedly. So I shot that on zero sleep and having to go back and forth between the hospital because we were visiting my parents when my wife went into labor," he explained.

Christopher and his wife were happy about the arrival of the newest member of their family. He wrote on Instagram, "I'm so proud to be your father. You've changed my life, and I'm so thankful for you. You are so kind and generous, gentle and caring. You're also really funny, and way too smart. I love you, happy birthday princess."
Then, more than two years later, on 23 October 2015, their son was born. Christopher's Instagram page is filled with pictures of his wife and two kids. He calls Ella daddy's girl and his son is mama's boy. The whole family is a cute bunch and the Hallmark Channel actor knows it.
