Created by Erica Spates and Sam Littenberg-Weisberg, The Healing Powers of Dude follows an 11-year-old boy named Noah Ferris with a social anxiety disorder. His parents, father Marvin Ferris (Tom Everett Scott), an artist, and mother Karen Ferris (Larisa Oleynik), a lawyer, get him an emotional support dog to deal with his disorder. After getting homeschooled for years, Noah decides to give the middle school a chance where he strives to make new friends.
