She comes across Duke Simon Basset, played by Regé-Jean Page, and as you've guessed it, families, society, and a secret revealing publisher get involved. Daphne, Simon, and their complex story are told in the first season of Bridgerton.

The first role of Phoebe's career came in the show Waterloo Road. She appeared in 20 episodes of the BBC romance drama's fifth season. In an interview with BBC, the actress said she was a fan of period dramas and after her debut, she appeared in some 20th century based shows.
But nothing can top Bridgerton, growing up loving the elaborate dresses, the actress now gets to live during the Regency period. Her character Daphne was what she had hoped when she was starting out in show business and her dreams and coming to fruition.
