Danny Griffin Plays the Role of Sky on Netflix’s Fate: The Winx Saga
Fate: The Winx Saga is the latest six-episode original Netflix show hitting the streaming platform on 22nd January 2021. If the word “Winx” sounds familiar to you, it may be because you’ve previously watched or heard of Nickelodeon’s Italian-American animated series Winx Club.
Like you might have expected, it’s all grown up and being adapted into a live-action young adult drama. And you should count on it to have a dark edge because it is produced by The Vampire Diaries‘ Brian Young.
As per Netflix, the premise reads:
Determined to master their enchanting powers, a group of teens navigate rivalry, romance and supernatural studies at Alfea, a magical boarding school.
Just like Harry Potter, teenagers attend school in an alternate dimension where they train to use their abilities to fight creatures that threaten their survival.
Complicating the issue, however, is the fact that even if they’re talented fairies, they are all teens. When they learn to harness their abilities, they still have to learn to do the same for their sentiments. You can tell that’s going to lead to more drama and tension!
Danny Griffin is starring as Sky in this Netflix drama. The rest of the cast includes Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Elisha Applebaum as Musa, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra, Freddie Thorp as Riven, Jacob Dudman as Sam, and Sadie Soverall as Beatrix.
