Before setting off on her path of becoming an actress, Yvette Monreal was working in a dollar store in California. The Mexican/Chilean heritage actress was born on 9 July 1992 to her parents in California. Stargirl is the new show from the video-on-demand service DC Universe which deals with the life of a new superhero from Nebraska. The show is created by Geoff Johns, who also wrote the comics about Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl in 1999. It is going to be another live-action addition to the DC Universe service and also after part five of Crisis on Infinite Earths, a member of the world parallel to the Arroverse.

Yvette Monreal plays Yolanda Montez/Wildcat in Stargirl. Yolanda is a high school outcast who does not fit in with others in her class or school, but when new girl Courtney Whitmore comes to town, they form a friendship, and she adopts the persona of Wildcat becoming one of the members of the new Justice Society of America.

Stargirl is about a teenager from California who is forced to move to Nebraska after her mother marries Pat Dugan. Courtney later realizes her new step-father is the former superhero sidekick of Starman, and he also controls a sweet robot he made himself. Courtney finds the staff of Starman, which chooses her as the holder of its power, and she becomes Stargirl. When Injustice Society comes back, she needs to form her own team; this is where her high school friends come into play.
