Alexandra Breckenridge was born on 15th May 1982 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She lived with her mother in Darien, Connecticut, till the age of 10 before they moved to Mill Valley, California. Alex is the niece of actor Michael Weatherly.
Breckenridge grew fascination towards acting, photography, and singing by the age of 13. Two years later, the mother-daughter duo moved to Los Angeles to pursue Breckenridge’s passion for acting.

Monroe believes the new place will help her start afresh and aid her in forgetting the painful memories from the past. However, she ends up realizing the harsh reality of moving on as she must heal herself before she can truly turn Virgin River into her home.
