Chase Stokes said he was on his last dime when he had to call his mom and ask her for money to go and read for the leading role in Netflix series Outer Banks. It was a rollercoaster ride for the actor, and Chase landed the role of John B in the series, which is set for release this April. But this is not the first acting job of his career, Chase Stokes has been in show business for over a half-decade now, and it seems things are taking a turn for the good for the young actor.
According to the Instagram postings by his father, Chase Stokes was born on 16 September, he is 27 years old, and he is from Annapolis, Maryland. His father, Jeff Stokes, is the President of STRIDE Franchise LLC, and the actor seems to love both his parents, and he is also affectionate towards his grandmother. Chase lived in Maryland and later moved with his parents to Florida, where he continued his education.

Chase Stokes found a love for acting early on while also carrying on his passion for ice skating. After finishing college, the actor started his struggle to get himself in front of casting directors and, in turn, find roles in TV shows and movies. Outer Banks is the latest original from the streaming giant Netflix, and it is about a group of friends in the town called Outer Banks who find clues to the disappearance of John B’s father and also the story that he made off with $400 million in gold. During the summer, the group of teenagers known as “pogues” are either going to make it big or find there is more than one person who knows about the secret and will do anything to get the big payday.

Chase Stokes plays the leading role of John B, aka John Booker Routledge, he is the leader of the pogue crew. He is also dealing with the disappearance of his father while trying to survive in the place he grew up in. One day when he comes in possession of some clues, John and his friends go in search of John’s father and also the treasure he hopes is at the end of the search.

Chase’s character John B is from the wrong side of the town, the poorer half of the North Carolina vacation spot. He is followed by a close-knit group of friends, JJ, played by Rudy Pankow, is John’s best friend, Kiara, played by Madison Bailey is a rich girl, but she is comfortable among the pogues, Pope, played by Jonathan Daviss, is the level head of the crew, and Sarah Cameron, played by Madelyn Cline, is the queen bee of the town and is attracted to the pogues and especially John, with Caroline Arapoglou playing Rose Cameron, Sarah's stepmother. In addition, Drew Starkey stars as Rafe Cameron, Sarah's older brother.

Outer Banks only recently released its trailer, which is a mix of adventure, romance, and action. The series will be made available for streaming on 15 April 2020, only on Netflix.

Chase Stokes recently appeared as a guest on BUILD, via video conference that is, obviously, and during a twenty-minute conversation with the host of the show, the actor talked about how he got the role and what it was like filming the series. The gist of the conversation was the actor made some lifelong friends on the set of the series.
The actor talked about how he needed to call his mom, so he can reach the place of the reading. Once he got there, he asked Madelyn Cline to walk on her back; he had a stiff back after a long flight. Chase did not know who she was, and after she was done with walking on his back, Madeline told him who she was, later they were herded in to do a chemistry read. A friendship was formed in the waiting room before the read, and the chemistry showed in the series.

Chase also talked about how all the actors from the series were living four doors down from one another. He even mentioned how to convey a better friendship, he and Rudy Pankow stayed in a room together, now they are friends in real life also. He even mentioned the cast of the show is quarantining together, doing movie marathons, and building forts. It seems the show was not only a big break Chase needed in his career, but he also managed to find a second family while working in the series.

We mentioned before Chase Stokes went to school in Florida, he graduated from Timber Creek High School and moved to the University of Central Florida. Before Chase was an actor, he was also an ice hockey player and played for a while during his school and university days. He wore number eight on the rink, and there are images of the actor during his younger days, playing ice hockey.
Chase’s father posted a picture on 7 May 2016 with the caption of how much he was proud of his son. Chase was wearing his graduation dress, and during the same year, he appeared in the sixth episode of the beloved Netflix series Stranger Things. This is how his career went, playing a character for an episode or two until he managed to secure the role of John B in Outer Banks.
